Safari integration is on the way
I have finished preparing the bookmarklets I had mentioned. Now, it will be possible to export your text as a new Safari object (as I call it for now) and you will be able to paste it into the selected input box or textarea in Safari. I am sure it will be very useful if you are using iPhone to post stuff to forums or blogs. It is usually hard to write long stuff into textboxes and sometimes iPhone crashes when you are in the middle of writing something, causing you to lose all your text. Now you will be able to write your post in Notes application safely, then you will be able to use CopierciN to make that text available to use in Safari.
I am currently testing it and will soon release a pre-beta version for voluntary testers.
Besides that, it is even easier to copy text from webpages but I must correct the selection mechanism first. The bugs in the selection mechanism is usually not an issue for other applications as they are usually smaller in size. But in webpage case, people should be able to select the part they want to copy successfully.
Another good news is I will have a 9 days-off from the work starting from tomorrow and I will work on CopierciN during this time. I have some other stuff to do but I hope the remaining time will be enough to release a much more stable version.
So, buckle up
Oh, by the way, if you want to be one of the testers, contact with me via gomercin *at* gmail.com. Those testers should better be ready to share their sms, contact list and notes databases with me to see the reasons for crashes or any other problems. I already have some names but having more will help us seeing how CopierciN acts on different iPhones. Especially people who use different language sets like Cyrillic or Kanji would help a lot to see the multilingual problems. Thanks in advance everyone. Have a nice day all ![]()
Hi
I absolutely love your program, it saves me a heap of time. One suggestion I have which would make this program even better is if it had the ability to paste in replies to emails rather than creating a new email. Other software such as replybutler, maildash and mailgram allows this.
Best regards
Joe

Hi Joe,
Actually, you already have the opportunity to paste as a reply. Just open the mail application and click the reply button as you would write the text in the mail application. Without cancelling it, quit mail application and launch CopierciN. Now, if you export some text as new e-mail, it will actually be pasted over that reply you had opened.
That is a bug I assume, not in CopierciN but in Mobile Mail application. It does not clear the last unsent e-mails context when it receives a new e-mail sending request via mailto handler.
Actually, you can use this bug in your advantage. If you want to send, say contact information of a few different people via e-mail, you do not need to prepare a text that contains information of all those contacts. Just repeat importing from contacts/exporting as new e-mail. This is somewhat cumbersome but considering the selection mechanism is still very very buggy, it might become handy in some situations
Actually, maybe I should prepare something like CopierciN tips&tricks

Hi - fantastic appn.
However when select ‘Import to SMS’ it crashes to springboard. Have x2 2g iphones one with 2.0.1 and one with 2.1 and same happens on both phones.
Hope this is fixed soon as creating new SMSs from existing will save me a lot of time.
Keep up the great work.

This problem is reported lots of times but I am not yet to find a solution for that. I could not even find the reason for those crashes. If someone, who experience this issue could share his/her sms.db and addressbook.sqlitedb files, I would be glad to investigate the reason. If nobody is willing to do that, I will try to prepare a version which reports the cause of the crash.
